Historical Warfare is a subscription web site that charges a small monthly subscription to pay for the running and continued updating of the web site. The internet is dotted with sites that have been 'abandoned' and not maintained.

Why a subscription web site?
Historical Warfare is an independent web site. It is not paid for by any advertising so you will not find pop up ads or banner ads here. We do not sell anything, other than information, so this is not a business expense, it is the business.

I can find the information on Google, why subscribe?
If you know exactly what you are looking for, Google is excellent. If you do not know it exists, you can not search for it.

Wikipedia provides all the information I need, why pay for this site?
Wikipedia is a good source of information. However, it is an encyclopedia and not an interactive site like this.
