Ancient Warfare III-4 Implacable enemies: the Barcids at War

The next issue is already in the works. Dealing mainly with the 2nd Punic War from the Carthaginian point of view, it will contain - among others - articles on the Carthaginian army, Polybios, siegecraft and of course the battle of Cannae. Pre-order it now or subscribe and make sure you never miss an issue!

Proposals for articles

We are by no means lacking in proposals for articles and we in fact often get more proposals to go with theme than we can use. But have only a few articles for the 'Features' section that do not deal with Hellenistic or Greek topics. We'd especially like to have a few bronze age or Late Roman proposals 'on the shelf'. So if you were considering to submit a proposal, please do not hesitate to do so. Response (and certainly publication) may sometimes take a while, but it will not be forgotten!

Themes for 2010

We are now taking suggestions for the themes of 2010. I've opened a topic on my blog, where all readers can post their ideas as comments. When the rush is over, or just later this Summer, I'll make a selection and post those for you to vote on. We're looking forward to hearing from you!

Renewals

Did you know that you can renew your subscription any time? As long as you use the same account you bought your subscription with, your renewal will be added on at the end of your current subscription, whenever it runs out.

Reviews of Ancient Warfare

It's nice to be able to say you made a great product. Most people will recognize such statements for what they are though: not entirely unbiased marketing fluff. Luckily for us, we don't have to come out and say it: others have done it for us. Several reviews of Ancient Warfare have recently appeared online.

UNRV.com discussed III-2, as did Historyofwar.org, NDC Weblog and Jona Lendering (who, as regular contributor, is perhaps not completely unbiased, it has to be admitted). On the latter site, you'll find reviews of III-3 and the Special as well.

So now you don't have to take our word for it!

Kind regards,
