This hardback book by Chris Mason is a photographic record of the equipment of a German soldier during the Second World War. However, rather than cover the usual weapons and uniforms detailed in so many other sources, it includes pictures of personal effects such as water proof match boxes for the smokers, map reading equipment, and other more obscure items any soldier living in the field would find of use. Well worth picking up if you are interested in German militaria.
