USS Hornet Armed Forces Day

The USS Hornet Museum celebrates Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 19 by bringing the historic aircraft carrier to life. See one of the largest naval ships in action while being surrounded by the exciting sights and sounds of the working aircraft carrier. Witness simulated flight operations, participate in mission briefings, and meet former crew. All activities take place between 11a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A special “Family” admission price of $20 is offered on this day. In recognition of their service to our country, current military personnel and their families receive free admission to the museum on this day.

 

 



The Aircraft Carrier USS Hornet Museum is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the goal of inspiring people of all ages to experience naval history, science, and space technology first-hand. A registered State and National Historic Landmark, the USS Hornet is permanently docked at the former Naval Air Station in Alameda and is open to the public for an admission fee. The museum is open daily, except Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is berthed at 707 W Hornet Ave, Pier 3, in Alameda, CA. Regular admission price is $14 for adults and $6 for kids. Free parking.
